Our studios are not just places to play; they are spaces where you can experiment and grow as a musician, whether you’re practicing solo or jamming with a band.

At Polymus, we’re all about having fun and embracing the creative process, but we also value respect for our equipment and facilities. Frequently Asked Questions

While you may feel free to send us an e-mail if you have questions, there’s a high chance it has already been answered. Here are some FAQs:

What is Polymus?

Polymus is DTU’s official student music organization, associated with Polyteknisk Forening (PF) for those passionate about music. We rent rehearsal rooms to students, and we arrange extraordinary events such as jam sessions, open mic stages for music, and more. We are headquartered at DTU Lyngby.

How much does it cost to be a member?

It costs 750 DKK per band to have a timeslot for one semester. It is not possible to get discounts in case of signups late in the semester.

How do I rent a rehearsal room?

To rent a rehearsal room, visit our signup form here, or email polymus.pf.dtu@gmail.com.

What equipment will I get access to?

Our two rehearsal rooms have identical equipment. We have a PA, mixer, drums, digital stage piano, 2 guitar amplifiers, microphones, and a bass amplifier. We also have stands for guitars, microphones, and music stands.

Can I borrow equipment for concerts?

We indeed have some equipment that members of Polymus can rent for a small fee. Send us an email about what you are seeking.

Do I pay full price even though we are some time into the semester?

Due to the administrative burden and the exceptionally competitively priced studios, the price remains 750 DKK to book a weekly timeslot for the rest of the semester, no matter when in the semester the sign up happens. This means that even though we are some time into a semester, the price is still 750 DKK per band per timeslot.

Can I rent one of the lockers in Rehearsal Room 2?

Yes, you can send us an e-mail for more details.

In case you didn’t find what you were looking for, please feel free to send us an e-mail. We will get back to you as fast as possible!
